We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretarial Assistant to join the Matrimonial department of a busy law firm. The ideal candidate will possess fast and accurate audio typing skills, be computer literate, and have a good working knowledge of Matrimonial procedures. Day to Day of the role:- Handling Legal Aid applications and familiarising with billing procedures.
- Managing diaries and ensuring efficient time recording.
- Preparing bundles and being diligent in responding to email correspondence within set timeframes.
- Liaising with professionals and working on case management systems.
- Collecting ID and conducting Anti-money laundering procedures.
- Providing support to the Matrimonial team with various legal processes including private divorce, cohabitation agreements, domestic abuse/occupation orders, child arrangements orders, and financial disputes.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a law firm or internal legal department
- Computer literacy with fast and accurate typing skills.
- Excellent team player with a commitment to providing a first-class service to clients.
