Location: Walsall

Salary: 13.02 per hour

Contract Type:

Temporary, ongoing, 37-hour week Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing Licensing Applications: Handle and validate applications for licenses in compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and Taxi Licensing).
  • Data Management: Input, record, and maintain accurate information in council systems and public registers.
  • Document Validation: Verify submitted documents for accuracy and compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Public Register Maintenance: Ensure public records are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance related to licensing processes.
  • Customer Interaction: Address queries related to licensing applications and legislation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in licensing processes and legislation, including alcohol licenses, gambling regulations, and taxi-related licensing.
  • Familiarity with Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and associated legislation.
  • Proficient in data entry, administrative tasks, and document validation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A current basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
