What You'll Be Doing:

  • Drive Project Success: Lead the end-to-end delivery of civil and water infrastructure projects, ensuring they're completed on time, within budget, and to impeccable standards.
  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a dedicated site team, including sub-agents, Engineers, and Foremen, fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Strategise and Execute: Develop robust project plans, implement risk management strategies, and optimise resources to maximise project value.
  • Be the Face of the Project: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the public, representing the company with professionalism and confidence.
  • Monitor and Report: Ensure timely and accurate reporting, chair key meetings, and keep all parties informed of progress and performance.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in civil engineering and site management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, CDM regulations, and cost control, coupled with the ability to spot opportunities for value engineering.
  • Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), alongside essential certifications like CSCS, SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, and Confined Space Training.
  • A natural leader with excellent communication skills, ready to challenge the status quo and drive solutions.

Desirable Extras:

  • Chartered status (CEng MICE) or equivalent, plus experience with Primavera P6 and NEC/JCT contracts.
  • Specific expertise in large-scale utility works, trunk water mains, shafts, and tunnels.
