The Production Team Leader is a key role responsible for overseeing a team of production workers, ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of the production area. This leadership position requires a detail-oriented professional with robust leadership skills and an in-depth understanding of production processes. The Production Team Leader will drive continuous improvements within the area through the SQCDP measures, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

路Internal Quality > 97.2% with improving trend.

路DOT to Promise > 95% with improving trend.
路Productivity >100% with improving trend.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication.
路Conduct structured morning SQCDP meetings and further daily communication with the team to ensure clear communication of targets and objectives.
路Build and maintain direct relationships with customers, providing clear communication on all aspects of day-to-day operations.
路Escalate relevant issues promptly to the Production Manager.
Safety.
路Collaborate with the H&S officer and committee to reduce risks in the area through effective risk assessments.
路Ensuring Safe working environment for staff. (Safety Controls Audits)
路Ensure a safe working environment through regular safety controls audits.
路Investigate accidents and enforce all safety controls (method statements) in the area.
路Conduct return-to-work interviews to ensure the fitness of staff returning after absence.
Quality.
路Carry out full Investigations and provide clear accurate responses to Customer Concerns in a professional and timely manner, ensuring delivery of the below Service Level Agreement. (SLA)
oAcknowledgement of complaint in 12hrs
oContainment in 24hrs
oCorrective Actions in 48 hrs.
oRoot cause definition 10 days (with evidence i.e. 8D)
路Ensuring accurate internal data capture and the daily Logging and Recording reject data within the QA System
路Conduct audits to ensure all work in the area meets company standards.
Cost.
路Implement actions to reduce or mitigate off-track hours against the visual plan.
路Accurately record planned downtime, including classroom training and project time.
路Ensure team engagement with targets and objectives.
路Validate and approve production hours in the ERP system.
路Constantly strive for productivity gains through VA activity and removal or 8 wastes
Delivery.
路Develop a visual plan for the team aligned with the work-to-list, outlining expectations for each team member.
路Advocate for the customer and uphold the promised delivery date.
路Keep customers and systems fully updated on any delays and expected planned dates.
路Coordinate with other departments to address exceptions.
People.
Managing Staff Performance through the QCD measures to achieve and then to improve company standards.
路Rewarding and Recognizing Good Performance
路Optimize Workgroup efficiency through effective time/attendance management by conducting RTW's (Return to Work Reviews) and absence review meetings in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
路Identifying coaching need of Poor Performance, setting Smart targets (Coaching for Excellence)
路Identifying other coaching need and opportunities setting Smart targets (Coaching for Excellence, PDR)
路Maintain company standards by dealing with conduct issues in an effective and timely manner. Lead by example through the promotion of Company values, standards, policies and procedures.
Managing Process Performance through the SQCDP measures to achieve and then to improve company standards.
路Engage team in Ci activities, Kaizen, 5S and problem-solving activities (Project Charters, Challenge Zero)
Working with the Production Manager to identify skill Gap's on the Versatility Matrix that may affect our ability to achieve our commitments, that should form part of their:
路PDR process and/or Training and Development Plans
路Onboarding Plans
