Dunbar Education is excited to recruit a robust Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a specialist SEN provision in Walsall, working with students aged 12-18.

About the Role:We are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to students with a range of complex needs, including autism, ADHD, social-emotional challenges, and learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students aged 12-18 in both classroom and one-to-one settings.
Assist with the delivery of individualized learning plans and behavior management strategies.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for students with diverse needs.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic support.
Encourage independence and personal development among students.

What We're Looking For:

A robust and resilient personality, able to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy.
Experience working with young people with SEN (desirable but not essential - a willingness to learn is key).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive, flexible approach to supporting students' unique needs.
A genuine passion for improving the lives of young people with special educational needs.
A child and adult DBS is essential for this role.
