My client is an established organisation currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Administrator.  Reporting directly to the Office Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Compiling and maintaining Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans
  • Collating/administering information required for Health and Safety Files
  • Create site folders and prepare site boxes for projects
  • Contractor Vetting – approving sub-contractors and uploading and updating their Health & Safety documentation on the system
  • Produce Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, DSE Assessments documentation.
  • Maintain records of safety inspections, risk assessments and training sessions
  • Ensuring plant register is correct, updated and maintained, organising servicing/calibration of equipment at regular intervals when due
  • Investigate workplace accidents, RIDDOR recording and reporting and near misses 
  • Organising and booking training – maintaining the training matrix
  • Claim training grants
  • Organise maintenance of fire equipment – office and site
  • Purchasing of site Health and Safety stock including PPE and operatives uniform
  • Administering/assisting with ISO45001 Management System and attending audits and meetings
  • Updating information on portals – including SSIP, Constructionline etc to keep accreditations up to date
  • Attend monthly line managers meetings and report as per agenda
  • Liaising with our Health & Safety Consultants
  • Liaising with Contract Managers and Site Managers regarding contracts
  • Ad hoc administrative duties relating to Health & Safety

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who has worked in the construction sector and has good knowledge of the health and safety regulations and best practices.  Strong organisation skills is a must with excellent attention to detail.  Should you have all of the relevant experience and available immediately, please apply.
