Office Administrator

Location: Cheshunt, Hertfordshire

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 pro rata

Hours: Part-time 30 hours (4 days per week 9:00am – 5:00pm). Full time hours may be available to the right candidate

Our client is a small but fast growing independent acoustic consultancy looking for a motivated individual to be a key part of their future success. They cover a wide and varied range of work specialising in environmental noise, live event & entertainment noise and building acoustics.

The Role

They currently have an exciting new opportunity for an Office Administrator to support their professional friendly team. You will be responsible for all admin and basic accountancy functions within the company and also offering varying levels of support to their 3 consultants. The role is varied and, through your support of the team, they will offer you the scope to be involved in different areas of the business. strong organisation skills and the ability to multi-task will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining office systems, including data management and social media profiles.
  • Answering phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate.
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments.
  • Dealing with incoming email and post, often corresponding on behalf of the Consultants.
  • Production of quotations and invoices.
  • Maintaining monthly accounts and VAT records (data entry only).
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent word processing and IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel & Outlook.
  • The ability to ease pressure and support others to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a professional telephone manner.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Great attention to detail; Flexibility to meet the changing needs of the team, discretion and an understanding of confidentiality issues.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in office administration.
