Quantity Surveyor - Hertfordshire
PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for a medium sized main contractor in Hertfordshire.
The organisation is a main building contractor who has an excellent reputation in the construction industry for delivering quality schemes ranging from 2M to 30M in value.
The company carry out work across all sectors; however their reputation is strong in the sectors of Commercial, Leisure, Retail & Industrial warehousing.
Job role: Quantity Surveyor
Rate: 350 - 380/day (DOE)
Duration: 1 year+
Location: Hertfordshire
Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:
- Prepare tender and contract documents
- Estimate material quantities, costs, labour, etc
- Undertake cost analysis
- Arrange payments and value completed works
- Liaising with client and running meetings
Knowledge and skills:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure ans use own initiative
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Management role
- Knowledge of construction and commercial awareness
- Strong ground works knowledge
