Are you an experienced Bookkeeper seeking a settled role in a close knit environment?

Reed Accountancy in Oxford are pleased to be working with a longstanding organisation based in Wantage to source a Bookkeeper to join on a part time basis. This role is offering a salary of £35,000 pro rata, 25 days annual leave (pro rata), flexible start/finish pattern over 3-5 days, pension and free on site parking.

This role is office based. 

   The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Inputting and reconciling payments into the Client Account for various types of income such as rent.
  • Reviewing and paying invoices from suppliers and contractors from the Client Account
  • Liaising with tenants, contractors and clients regarding payments from the Client Account
  • Undertake payroll for the payment of salaries for employees
  • Dealing with the administration of the pension scheme for employees and liaising with the pension provider
  • Preparing Estate Budgets in conjunction with surveyors for planning purposes
  • Assisting with the end of year Service Charge Account Reconciliation for a number of commercial properties.
  • Undertaking and processing VAT returns
  • Assisting with the raising of monthly and quarterly rent demands
  • Preparing periodic Statements for clients and accounting to them for funds held
  • Reconciling interest accrued on the Client Accounts
  • Undertaking bank reconciliations
  • Ensuring accounting records and files are kept up to date
  • Preparing contract accounts for year end

The ideal candidate will have proficient experience in accounting, comfortable with bookkeeping and a strong communicator and you will ideally have experience in property accounting, or a client facing role. You will have experience on a range of accounting packages and be able to pick up bespoke accounting packages quickly. Fitting into a close knit environment
