Job Description: Occupational Therapist for Children

Location: Westport House, Wareham, Dorset

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (no weekends)

About Us:

Dorset Council are looking for a Locum Childres Occupational Therapy services based in

Wareham. We are dedicated to supporting children and their families through comprehensive

therapy services and specialized interventions.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist with a passion for working with children.

This role involves managing caseloads effectively and working on your own and with the

team to provide the best outcomes. You will conduct client visits as part of a hybrid working

model, ensuring flexible and effective care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver therapeutic interventions to a caseload of children.
  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and healthcare providers.
  • Advise on paediatric equipment and housing adaptations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Engage with families to support and educate them on therapy practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Occupational Therapist.
