Salary:Up to 45,000

Hours:Monday - Friday 8-5pm

Position Overview:We are looking for a talented Instrument Engineer with expertise in chromatography and ThermoMass to enhance our technical team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with these technologies, and a passion for maintaining and optimizing advanced instrumentation. #INDSOUTH

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first response to Laboratory equipment breakdowns. Ensuring all critical science and operations are protected.
  • Working with the key equipment users, wider engineering team and our suppliers to ensure that all key laboratory instrument platforms are operationally functional to support the customers science needs
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot chromatography systems and ThermoMass analysers.
  • Perform routine calibrations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on instrumentation.
  • Analyse data and generate detailed reports to support ongoing projects and client needs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to optimize system performance and address any technical issues.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as required.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in instrumentation technology.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in maintaining scientific laboratory instrumentation or automation technologies
  • Pharmaceutical / Regulated working background
  • Previous experience of working in multidisciplinary customer facing teams
  • Advanced Technical Skills in the field of expertise or Experience of servicing scientific equipment
  • Driving Continuous Improvement and innovative solutions
  • Good Understanding of device networking and communications protocols
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft tools skills
