About the Company:An expanding and well-regarded accountancy practice in Warrington is seeking a dedicated Accounts Senior to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to play a key role in delivering high-quality financial services to a varied client base while continuing to develop their career within a supportive and progressive environment.

The Role:As an Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of your own portfolio of clients, ensuring that high standards are met and providing vital support to junior team members. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of businesses, from sole traders to larger limited companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members, assisting with their professional development.
  • Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and resolve queries.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and current legislation.
  • Assisting the management team with ad-hoc tasks and project work.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
  • Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and deliver high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and client management.
