Divisional Financial Controller - Fast-Growth, Construction / House Build Company

Ready to take full control of the finance function in a high-growth, construction / house build company?

We're looking for a qualified DivisionalFinancial Controller who's ready to lead from the front, manage a talented finance team, and steer the financial operations through an exciting period of growth.

The Role

As Financial Controller, you'll have full ownership of the divisions finances - from managing project costs to overseeing all accounts through to audit. You'll play a critical role in supporting the companies ongoing growth and ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency across the board.

You will also be responsible for recruiting a new finance team into the division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structure and recruit a new finance team for the division
  • Lead, manage, and develop the finance team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Take full control of financial accounts, including preparation through to audit.
  • Presenting to board on a monthly basis
  • Oversee project cost management, ensuring accurate tracking and financial reporting on all construction projects.
  • Overseeing the monthly management accounts, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Implement strong financial controls to safeguard the business and ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with Commercial Directors to provide clear financial insights, helping to drive profitability.
  • Act as the key contact for external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate audit completion.
  • Support senior leadership with strategic financial analysis to guide business decisions.
What You'll Need
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the construction or Infrastructure related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of project cost management and a firm understanding of financial reporting and audits.
  • Experience in leading a finance team, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience of CIS / CVR is advantageous
  • Professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) are highly desirable.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously and influence key stakeholders.
