This is a newly created role and there is scope for progression into FC. The role will have one direct report from day one. It is a varied role with management accounts, statutory accounts, financial analysis and reporting, and some commercial exposure.

Description
- Producing management accounts
- Reconciling and reviewing the balance sheet
- Preparing reporting packs
- Working alongside Finance Business Partners to review costs and analyse financial data to explain variances from budget or forecast
- Ensuring tight financial controls
- Identifying and making recommendations for improvements (relating to controls and the system)
- Managing one person in the finance team
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- ACA or ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Relevant experience either in audit or industry; our client is open to considering candidates who are first-time movers from practice
- Excited by the prospect of working in a fast-paced business
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Technical competence
