At Axon Moore, we’re thrilled to partner with one of the North West's fastest-growing, highly acquisitive companies based in Warrington (on-site role)We’re recruiting for a Management Accountant role, perfect for newly qualified or nearly qualified finance professionals eager to grow alongside a high-performing team and gain extensive, career-building exposure across finance.Our client is flexible regarding your chosen qualified pathway ACA/ACCA or CIMA.We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.In return, you’ll join a sociable team, and gain invaluable experience, a generous bonus scheme, enhanced benefits, and quality mentors.Responsible for maintaining company accounts, including preparing and reviewing internal monthly financial reports (P&L and Balance Sheet) as well as quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc external reports and submissions.The management accounting function shares responsibility for completing these tasks.Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, management accounts for various profit centers, quarterly VAT returns, statutory accounts, and annual corporation tax submissions. Produce monthly Board and shareholder reports
  • Control and Compliance: Oversee GL accounting, raise necessary journal entries, support external audits, and ensure compliance with VAT and tax processes. Conduct analytical reviews to identify discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Support: Build strong internal relationships, support Profit Centre Managers and Regional Directors with financial reports and forecasts, and respond to Board queries.
  • Team Development: Mentor, train, and support team members as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement, document financial processes, and lead ad-hoc projects to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Acquisitions: Assist in new acquisitions, including management account preparation, controls review, and company format alignment.
  • Company Secretarial: Manage statutory filings, including confirmation statements and company information changes.
The Candidate:
  • Qualifications: Finalist or newly qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Skills: Logical thinker with high attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organisational abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for clear stakeholder engagement.
  • Technical: Proficient in Excel.
