Forge Talent have exclusively partnered a highly successful and fast-growing organisation in Cheshire. Due to increased business demands they are now hiring within their Accounts Payable Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Payables Clerk to join a people focussed organisation. This is a key role that can offer; variance, career development and the opportunity to work alongside a high performing team through an exciting period of business growth.

Accounts Payable Clerk Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, process and verify a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct approvals.
  • Ensure that all invoices are matched to corresponding purchase orders.
  • Ensure that individual supplier payment terms are recorded and adhered to.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly payment runs.
  • Ensure that supplier accounts are reconciled to maintain the accuracy of payment runs.
  • Maintain regular communication with vendors to reduce payment enquiries, invoicing discrepancies and issues.
  • Ensure that vendor accounts including payment terms, bank details and points of contact are regularly updated and accurate.
  • Ensure that all queries are resolved and replied to promptly to avoid delays to supplier payments.
  • Assist with month end closure processes by preparing reports and reconciling accounts payable balances.
  • Assist in preparing accruals and other required reporting for the Management Accounts Team.
  • Support with audit processes as required.

Accounts Payable Clerk Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in an end-to-end accounts payable position is essential.
  • Experience of working to target in a fast paced and larger business environment.
  • Strong computerised systems and Excel skills.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach towards daily tasks.
  • The ability to work alongside and collaborate with a friendly and motivated team.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
