Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Estimator with an electrical background to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects, working closely with the project management and sales teams to ensure successful project delivery. Your knowledge and experience in electrical systems will be vital in assessing project requirements, identifying cost-effective solutions, and ensuring that all electrical estimates align with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for projects, including labour, materials, and overheads.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and quotes.
- Work closely with project managers and clients to understand specific requirements and constraints.
- Ensure all estimates comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Evaluate project risks and propose cost-effective solutions where necessary.
- Provide support to the sales and management teams in bidding processes.
- Track project costs and ensure estimates stay within budgetary guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator or in a similar role within the electrical industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office.
- Ideally, a background in electrical installation or design.
