Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for residential and commercial building services projects.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to develop pricing strategies.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including M&E Estimators, Pre-Construction, and Project Managers, to refine proposals.
- Conduct site visits and attend client meetings to better understand project requirements and constraints.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and industry regulations.
- Provide technical and commercial advice, ensuring all estimates align with project budgets and client expectations.
- Contribute to value engineering initiatives to optimise project costs and enhance efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Estimator within the building services industry.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial electrical installations and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Understanding of building fabric and the ability to coordinate electrical installations alongside construction colleagues.
