Reed Talent Solutions are working with United Utilities on the search for 15 Customer Service Advisor's to join a growing Network Enquiries team at their Lingley Mere Business Park.

The purpose of this role is to deliver a high quality, helpful and friendly service to any one of their 7 million customers who may contact United Utilities with a request or query relating to their water or wastewater supply.

As a Customer Service Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a high-quality, helpful, and friendly service to valued customers. When a customer contacts United Utilities via the phone, you will be the friendly voice and expert point of contact for any Water or Wastewater queries and complaints.

Your dedication to prioritising workload, reacting swiftly, and maintaining accuracy will ensure customers receive the best possible service. Each interaction will be unique, offering you the opportunity to showcase your expert knowledge and problem-solving skills while delivering first-class customer service.

Role details:

  • Job title: Customer Service Advisor - Network Enquiries
  • Location: Lingley Mere Business Park, Great Sankey, Warrington
  • Contract: 12-month temporary assignment
  • Hourly pay rate: £13.60 per hour
  • Full training provided: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm for the first 6 weeks of your assignment
  • Working hours: Once the training is complete, you'll embrace a dynamic work schedule that offers you the perfect blend of flexibility and stability. Your shifts will be scheduled between 7am and 10pm Monday - Sunday (8-hour shifts across 5 days- 37 hours per week in total). You will work a shift at the weekend (either Saturday or Sunday) every other week (2 weekends in 4). Don’t worry, you’ll have chance to plan around your working hours as shift patterns are provided 6 weeks in advance. As the department is 24/7, you may also be required to work Bank Holidays.
  • Start date: Monday 6th January

  • Expected interview weeks with United Utilities: WC 25th November and 2ND December

What you'll need to be successful in the role?

  • Passion for Customer Service: Previous experience in delivering exceptional customer service is valuable, whether it's within a contact centre or another environment. Own a customer contact from receipt through to resolution, ensuring promised actions are completed and the customer is kept up to date at all times
  • Strong listening and communication skills: along with resilience and rapport-building abilities, will set you up for success.
  • Tech Savviness: Comfortable multitasking, you'll confidently navigate IT systems while engaging with customers on the phone.
  • Quick Reactions: You'll quickly respond to customer needs and work accurately to ensure a seamless customer experience.
