Our client is currently looking for a Principal Architect to join their Architecture function to Oversee the process of identifying and defining the technology components and guiding the investment/spend across the Data and Information Architecture domains as required to support business needs. The successful candidate will be required to lead the definition of the Architectural artefacts that describe current, future and transition states of the Technology Estate, together with the corresponding high-level plans & roadmaps – and to ensure the buy-in of key business stakeholders.Main responsibilities: •    Engage with key stakeholders at both an operational and strategic level to understand and derive their technology needs in the medium to long term – specifically relating to the Data and Information Architecture domains.•    Agree appropriate solutions and plans to meet these needs, securing appropriate levels of investment/funding to realise these plans.•    Lead the definition of the Architecture Lifecycle for applications across the organisation – aligned to a broader Enterprise Architecture and aligned to the corporate strategy and plans. Assess the financial and technical impact of change and agree an architecture investment strategy. •    Lead the definition of architecture models for the Data and Information Architecture domains, including as-is, to-be and transition state architecture models.•    Lead and facilitate the development of a technology strategy/strategies for the Data and Information Architecture domains, including the development of roadmaps and plans for realising technology strategy and plans. •    Lead the definition of standards, patterns, and other architectural artefacts that guide the implementation of the Architecture for the Data and Information Architecture domains.•    Perform regular review of those artefacts, assessing and verifying efficacy and need.

Experience:•    Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to enable future-state business capabilities that, in turn, drive targeted business outcomes.•    Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of existing, new and emerging technologies that enable and drive new business designs and models.•    First-class skills and significant experience in the definition of Architectural artefacts e.g. architectural models, roadmaps, strategies, principles, standards, patterns etc. •    Good knowledge of one or more Architecture Modelling & Notation techniques (methods)•    Experience of having applied one or more formal Architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)•    Proven track record of Data Migration programmes (Tableau/Alteryx/PowerBI)•    Expert knowledge of Integration Architecture, integration patterns and the corresponding technology/vendor landscape.•    Good knowledge of the Data, Information and Security Architecture domains , including the related capabilities and tools.•    Good knowledge of Azure cloud platforms and how these can be exploited effectively for enterprise benefit.
