Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support KS1 students in a lovely 3 form entry Primary School in Warrington. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and creating a positive learning environment. This position will be from 8.30am to 3.30pm, 5 days per week, from September to Christmas, at a rate of £90 per day.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons for KS1 students
  • Support individual students with their learning and development, including those who may require additional assistance
  • Help to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist with classroom and behavior management
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning materials
Qualifications
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of the KS1 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the classroom
Day-to-day
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons
  • Assist with organizing and supervising activities and outings
  • Help to maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Support the teacher in assessing and recording student progress
