SEMH Teaching Assistant

Warrington, WA4 | Full-time | April 20205 to July 2026

Tradewind Education is seeking resilient, reliable individuals to undertake a role as an SEMH Teaching Assistant in one of our specialist provisions. We are looking for individuals who have experience working with children, in or out of the educational setting, and are able to be patient, understanding and compassionate when presented with challenging behaviour.

The role will be centred around supporting pupils by assisting them with work, supporting their emotional regulation and completing tasks to support them beyond the curriculum such as life skills intervention or play based activities. In order to be successful in this role, individuals will need to embody the understanding that behaviour is a way of communicating an unmet need, and be open-minded in their perspective and approach towards responding to behaviour. An individual who is able to embrace a challenge and the values of the provision would be ideal in order to thrive in this rewarding position.
