Due to unprecedented demand, Hays is looking to increase our number of supply teaching assistants to work on a supply and ad-hoc basis in our partnership schools in the Warrington area.Your new roleAt Hays, you will be joining a large supportive team of like-minded professionals with the added benefit of being able to pick your own availability and work in one of a number of schools of your choosing. Your duties will typically include:

  • Working with a classroom between EYFS - KS2
  • Following the instruction of the class teacher
  • Offering intervention and booster sessions in core subjects including Maths and English
  • Phonics sessions and assessments on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Implementing positive behaviour strategies including Brain Breaks, DOJO and positive reinforcement
  • Promoting inclusion and accessibility within the classroom
  • Break and lunchtime responsibilities
  • General classroom management
  • General behaviour management

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application you must have full "Right to Work" as well as:

  • Referenceable experience supporting children and young people
  • Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions
