Head of Finance (Projects)

Resourcery Group are working with one of the North West region's most recent success stories as they look to hire a Head of Finance to oversee a significant project. This is a permanent role and is due to recent long term contract wins. 

The Head of Finance will work closely with both Commercial and Operational teams to drive business performance, act as a finance business partner and monitor project performance. 

This is a brilliant opportunity to work with a well respected team and be part of an award winning group. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver financial control, reporting and management information that is accurate, timely and reliable.
  • Assist in the clear presentation of the financial state of the business stream & the financial impact of management decisions
  • Work closely with project controls and commercial teams to ensure robust financial governance and controls and accuracy of contract outturn forecasting.
  • Support to revenue maximisation (and cash conversion), whilst highlighting to the senior finance team areas of concern.
  • Assist business stream management in the interpretation of financial and contractual information so that any necessary corrective actions and/or opportunities are quickly identified and implemented.

Key Requirements 

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of working in a project accounting environment.
  • Influencing and communication skills at all levels.
  • Experience of working with customers, senior management and auditors (internal and external).
  • Good business / process analysis skills.
