We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Repairs Scheduler on behalf of a well-established housing association, on an ongoing temporary contract with permanent opportunities in the long term. This is a 40-hour per week, hybrid role, working 8am to 5pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch. You will be required in the office initially for the first 2-3 weeks of your contract whilst training, but will then be allowed to work from home 2-3 days per week.
Your new role
- Responsible for your own allocated region and the day-to-day planning for maintenance & repair resources in your area
- Managing work priorities, developing job plans, developing safe work control plans, defining parts & materials and engaging with contractors
- Liaising with customers and contractors regarding scheduled or appointed ongoing work
- Verifying all material, tools, information and labour are available prior to scheduling work
- Working with stores & suppliers to manage van stock usage and materials to ensure the most effective routes for operatives
- Monitoring reports and information to ensure work levels remain within targets & SLA's
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 12 months dynamic scheduling & planning experience within a social housing, maintenance or construction setting
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy & reactive workload
- Ability to work on own initiative and manage conflicting priorities
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
