An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to join my client on a 12 month maternity cover contract. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a significant impact in both a strategic and operational capacity. You will work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to deliver the organisation's people plan and provide expert HR advice across all levels.This role may also suit a strong second-in-command looking to step up into their first full management position.The Role:As HR Manager, you will be a vital part of the organisation, handling a full spectrum of HR responsibilities. This is a true generalist role where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on HR strategy and operational functions, supporting front-line managers.
  • Act as an HR Advisor to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Management team.
  • Deliver key HR initiatives from the people plan, driven by employee engagement.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, retention, and team engagement activities.
  • Lead on performance management and learning & development plans.
  • Manage HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment law and charity regulations.
  • Provide HR updates to the Board and act as Clerk in Board and Senior Leadership meetings.

About You:

  • Proven experience in leading HR functions, including complex processes like grievances and disciplinaries.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law is essential.
  • Experience within a fast-paced, service delivery environment.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £35,000 negotiable depending on experience
  • 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).
