Imports Clerk (6-Month Contract)
Location: Birchwood, Warrington
Rate: £20.70 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)

Hybrid working arrangement (alternating between 2 or 3 days on-site per week) with core hours of 08:00-16:00, and some flexibility on start and finish times.

This is a varied role working with freight carriers and internal teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods through our import process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and monitor the progress of goods, ensuring they flow through the process smoothly.
• Liaise with freight carriers and internal teams to resolve any issues.
• Support an expanding team responsible for an increasing list of import activities.
• Work within a dedicated imports team of four, as part of a larger logistics team of 25.

Requirements:

• 2+ years in customs (export-related experience acceptable with training provided in imports).
• UK import formalities knowledge
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (knowledge of Ricardo or SAP is desirable)
• Attention to detail is crucial, along with the ability to work well within a team and contribute to team morale.
