Join our Family Of Pioneers as a Maintenance Engineer

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the engineering department is provided with a well-maintained stores system and that all components are kept at the appropriate stock levels.

Maintains and improves site stores management systems (IDHAMMER) in accordance with local and regional requirements

You will come from an engineering/production background and have proven experience in a stores environment, with a good knowledge of engineering parts and liaising with suppliers


Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Maintain an efficient system going forward; ensuring all purchases are processed accurately and in a timely manner within cost centres.
  • To ensure that stock items are stored neatly and kept to the correct stock levels.To keep up to date records and report any discrepancies immediately.
  • To liaise with suppliers to obtain the best available price and quality of purchase items.
  • To record accurately incoming quantities of labels and to ensure they are correct and an acceptable quality.
  • Preparation and presentation of engineering spend and stock value weekly to Plant Manager, ensuring engineering spend is maintained within budget
  • Development of a monthly cycle count schedule and undertaking weekly inventory checks
  • To perform any other duties in connection with the job that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and which are consistent with the "Main Purpose of the Job".

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience within a stores environment within a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Highly organised, adapt well to change and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Able to communicate effectively written and verbal
  • Confident use of management systems
