Job Title: Stock Control Manager
Location: Warrington
Salary: £40,000
The Client
Our client work within the construction industry and are a leading commercial glazing, cladding and façade manufacturing and installation specialist, they are looking to add a Stock Control Manager to their team.
The Role of Stock Control Manager
- Control all stocks held at the head office site
- Control all inbound and outbound items/orders (paperwork completion, internal communication)
- Be responsible for the stock accuracy for the department including completing procedures and SOP's
- Ensure the hygiene standards of the storage areas are maintained to a high standard
- Monitor inbound schedules and plan for their arrival
- Check and locate all inbound items
- Raise any issues with inbound items (shortages, damages, non-conformances etc.) as soon as possible
- Ensure that the system, trackers and data uploads are completed accurately in a timely manner
- Lead periodic stock checks
- Collect and/or deliver company goods as required
- Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required by the business.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices operated by the Company.
- Maintain good communication with your team and the office staff to enable successful co-ordination of inbound and outbound items
The Person
- Experience in stock control, deliveries and logistics
- Experience of ERP systems (Sage preferably)
- Stock check preparation and leading of periodic stock counts and PI checks
- Experience with good inwards and goods outwards procedures and paperwork
- Experience of managing a small team
- H&S experience with a will to develop
- Experience of working in a busy environment
- Yard Control experience desirable
- Clean driving licence & use of car
- Microsoft package experience (Word, Excel)
- SOP, procedure and process creation and review
- M2 Combilift side loader licence desirable but not essential
