Description

We are working with a Chemical Manufacturer who are looking for a Production Manager to join their team based in Warrington.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, guide, and support a diverse team across both the production and warehouse departments.
  • Take an active, hands-on role in managing daily production and warehouse operations to meet key performance targets.
  • Conduct staff evaluations, determine training needs, and facilitate skill development to align with both immediate and long-term business objectives.
  • Oversee production planning, ensuring optimal resource allocation, asset efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Manage inventory and warehouse functions to maintain effective storage, handling, and movement of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Gather, assess, and track operational KPIs, implementing corrective measures when necessary, and collaborate with other teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, applying lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations while meeting Process Safety Performance Indicator objectives.
  • Contribute as a member of the Leadership and COMAH teams.
  • Serve as a secondary Incident Controller, supporting emergency response initiatives.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Uphold high standards of workplace safety and cleanliness, adhering to all health, safety, and housekeeping guidelines. Maintain awareness of the Major Accident Prevention Policy (MAPP), emergency protocols, equipment, and products.
  • Be adaptable and willing to work overtime when necessary to meet business demands.
