Role Overview:

Our client is looking for a Site Manager / Site Agent to take the helm of their infrastructure project sites, including major highways and water systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in site management and a deep understanding of the infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of infrastructure project sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise site teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for all on-site activities, liaising with project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all works meet the required standards and specifications, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and enforce robust health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Resource Management: Optimise the use of resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to maximise project efficiency.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address any issues or risks on site, deploying effective solutions to minimise disruptions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of site activities, progress reports, and any incidents, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with statutory regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven Experience: Significant experience as a Site Manager or Site Agent, with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Sector Expertise: Deep knowledge and practical experience in the infrastructure sector, particularly in highways and water systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse workforce.
  • Health and Safety: Extensive understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and translate them into actionable site plans.
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex and concurrent tasks.
  • Certifications: Valid CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence.
