As they expand their operations in the North West of England, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a highly skilled Site Manager to oversee water treatment and utilities projects across various locations in the North West. This permanent role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Site Manager will be responsible for leading site activities, managing teams, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management:

Oversee and manage daily site operations for water treatment and utilities projects, ensuring efficient use of labour, equipment, and materials.

Monitor and maintain project schedules, addressing any delays or issues to keep the project on track.

Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on-site, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor site teams, including subcontractors and junior managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Conduct regular site meetings to communicate project progress, address issues, and align on priorities.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all work meets the specified quality standards and complies with project drawings and specifications.

Perform regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality workmanship and adherence to client requirements.

Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project integration.

Provide detailed progress reports and updates to senior management and clients.

Problem Solving:

Identify and address operational challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.

Develop and implement solutions to improve site efficiency, productivity, and safety.

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, safety inspections, and material deliveries.

Ensure all site operations comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in water treatment, utilities, or civil engineering projects.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and standards within the water industry.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and teams effectively.

Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project plans.

Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations and practices.

Valid CSCS card and relevant safety certifications.

Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel across sites in the North West of England.

Preferred Qualifications:

NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Management or equivalent.

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.

Experience with project management software and tools.

First Aid Certification.
