Overhaul Engineer – Fix-term Contract

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an Engine Overhaul Engineer to join a leading business in the Power Generation sector.

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the overhaul, repair and refurbishment of large diesel engines. This role is on a 4-month, fix-term contract with very high potential to extend into a fully permanent role.  

As the Overhaul Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • The overhaul and rebuild of large diesel engines
  • Occasional travel to sites to support with engine removal
  • General workshop duties including fault finding and repairs
  • Supporting engineers with projects
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety procedures  
  • Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Proven experience with overhauling engines and working on large reciprocating engines/CHPs
  • A technical qualification is beneficial for this role
  • An understanding of technical/engineering environments
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
  • Competent with all Microsoft packages and computer systems
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for this position
