Principal Mech Engineer - Contract Roles in Preston and Warrington

We are seeking a talented Principal Mechanical Engineers for a contract position (INSIDE IR35) based in Warrington and in Preston , United Kingdom. The roles offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects and drive forward engineering solutions in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical design and analysis efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of mechanical systems from concept through to completion.
Skills and Experience:

People need to demonstrate experience with:

  • Mechanical handling experience e.g cranes, bogeys, conveyors, lifting equipment, ROVs, remote operating vehicles.
  • bespoke cutting equipment (eg diamond wire cutters)
  • Knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice.
  • Ability to build strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Nuclear experience is not a necessity, we welcome applications from all engineering backgrounds.

Qualifications for the Principal Mechanical Engineer

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Holds or has the ability to obtain Chartered status.
