Principal Mech Engineer - Contract Roles in Preston and Warrington

We are seeking a talented Principal Mechanical Engineers for a contract position (INSIDE IR35) based in Warrington and in Preston , United Kingdom. The roles offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects and drive forward engineering solutions in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical design and analysis efforts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Oversee the development and implementation of mechanical systems from concept through to completion.

Skills and Experience:

People need to demonstrate experience with:

Mechanical handling experience e.g cranes, bogeys, conveyors, lifting equipment, ROVs, remote operating vehicles.
bespoke cutting equipment (eg diamond wire cutters)
Knowledge of CAD tools and General Engineering Drawing Practice.
Ability to build strong and influential relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience leading a team.
Nuclear experience is not a necessity, we welcome applications from all engineering backgrounds.

Qualifications for the Principal Mechanical Engineer

Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Holds or has the ability to obtain Chartered status.
