Job Title:Quantity Surveyor
Location:Warrington (North West Region)
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
As a Quantity Surveyor, your primary duties will include:
- Obtaining and evaluating information to ensure realistic cost estimates for works, goods, materials, and services across multiple projects/contracts.
- Managing the commercial relationship with clients.
- Producing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion, ensuring alignment with budgets, and reporting any changes that may impact costs or timelines.
- Reviewing contract conditions prior to project commencement, identifying risks, and communicating key terms to the project delivery team.
- Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Welfare, and Legal requirements, maintaining quality standards.
- Managing client/customer care requirements to ensure satisfaction.
- Advising, formulating, and submitting claims for loss and expense.
- Conducting commercial evaluations of completed projects.
Person Specification:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience in a similar role within the construction sector.
- A detailed understanding of contracts.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, financial, and numeracy skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- A proactive team player who can also work independently.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines.
