We are seeking a confident and adaptable person to join our team in the Warrington area. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching or those with experience in education who are looking to take on a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the teacher
  • Ensure that students complete the work set
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
  • Follow the school's behaviour management policies to ensure student conduct is appropriate
  • Provide support to individual students where necessary
  • Liaise with teaching staff regarding cover work and any issues that arise during lessons
  • Assist with other duties around the school as required, including exam invigilation and support during school events

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • A genuine interest in supporting student learning and development
  • To be currently located in or around the Warrington area
  • An enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one
