The Opportunity

The Pricing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies to maximise profitability and market share for Bright. This role involves analysing market trends, assessing competitor pricing, and performing financial analysis to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor and analyse competitors' pricing strategies to identify opportunities and threats.

Pricing Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement pricing models and strategies that align with business objectives and market conditions.
  • Work closely with product management, sales, and marketing teams to set optimal prices for new and existing products.

Financial Analysis:

  • Perform detailed financial analysis to evaluate the impact of pricing decisions on revenue, profitability and market share.
  • Create pricing forecasts and financial models to support business planning and decision-making.

Data Management:

  • Maintain and update pricing databases and systems to ensure accuracy and

consistency.

  • Utilise advanced Excel functions and data analysis tools to interpret large datasets and extract actionable insights.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on pricing performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
  • Communicate pricing strategies and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance pricing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in pricing and revenue management.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role (B2B)
  • Extensive experience in developing and managing subscription models, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
  • Proven expertise in managing and optimising complex pricing models.
  • Skilled in analysing pricing structures to assess effectiveness, with a demonstrated ability to make data-driven adjustments to enhance profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modelling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with pricing software and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and financial principles.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
