Your new jobHays are working with a primary school in central Warwick who are looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Before and After School Club Manager on a permanent basis.

This job is accessible via public transport from all surrounding areas. This job is ideally to start from 7th April, with a period of hand-over with the current Manager until the new school year begins in September. The working hours for this job are 30 hours per week, between 7.30 to 18.00. The job schedule for these hours is negotiable upon offer.The salary for this job can be up to £36,409 per year based on experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar job. Managerial experience is a must, as this club is busy and can hold up to 100 children a night.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional care and enriching activities for children. With the support of a Deputy Manager, they will create a safe, engaging, and enjoyable experience for all. Your responsibilities will consist of-

  • Lead and supervise a team of play workers
  • Ensure high-quality care and engaging activities
  • Manage staff rotas and conduct performance reviews
  • Oversee safeguarding and health standards
  • Organise fun, age-appropriate activities
  • Maintain financial records and manage payroll
  • Build strong relationships with parents and the school community

What you'll need to succeed

  • Managerial experience in a childcare setting
  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Play Work, or similar
  • Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training
  • Experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
