RM Recruit are excited to be working with a progressive organisation who are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a pivotal role that will allow you to influence strategic decision-making, optimise financial performance, and drive key initiatives across the organisation.
As the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis processes. You will work closely with senior management to provide actionable insights and support key business decisions. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, financial modelling expertise, and the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasting cycles.
- Develop financial models to assess the impact of business decisions and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost-saving or revenue enhancement.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and business performance.
- Collaborate with various departments (Sales, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to understand performance drivers and ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Oversee financial modelling for new projects, investments, and potential acquisitions.
- Support strategic planning and business case development.
- Ensure financial data accuracy and integrity in all FP&A processes.
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis, business planning, and special projects as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a financial planning and analysis role, ideally in a managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills (knowledge of ERP systems is a plus).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CFA, CIMA, ACCA, or similar qualification is a plus).
Desirable Skills:
- Proven track record in driving financial performance improvements and business transformation.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor junior team members.
