Demand Planner

Department: Purchasing and Procurement Team

Function: Supply Chain and Facilities

Location: Warwick (Hybrid: 1 day home working considered)

Salary up to £40,000, plus company bonus, company pension, 25 days holiday, plus other benefits including healthcare scheme after a qualifying period.

Sector: Specialist assembly, distribution and installation

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)

Your Key Responsibilities

Master Demand Planning & Forecasting

Use your analytical skills to create precise demand forecasts based on sales data and market trends. Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries from key suppliers.

Drive Supply Chain Efficiency

Manage stock purchasing, ensuring compliance with

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Monitor supplier performance and tackle supply chain issues head-on. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce lead times and enhance efficiency.

Data Integrity & System Management

Set up new parts and maintain accurate data in the planning system. Conduct regular audits to ensure system integrity and correct discrepancies promptly.

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

Track key KPIs, proactively addressing any performance deviations. Engage colleagues in maximising the use of the  ERP system to better serve customers.

Contribute to business-wide projects, supporting the evolution of the supply chain.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Essential

Proven demand planning experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of NAV database management, part numbering, and BOMs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

A keen eye for detail and ability to spot discrepancies.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable

A technical understanding of materials and manufacturing techniques

Experience implementing process improvements in supply chain management.

Internal: Sales, Customer Service, Technical, Warehouse, Finance.

External: Key suppliers and partners supporting our supply chain.

Decision-Making & Ownership

As a Demand Planner, you'll have the autonomy to: Chase suppliers and resolve delivery issues.

Address non-conformance and performance issues with suppliers.

Set stock level parameters to maintain optimal inventory.

Implement enhancements to the demand planning system.
