Lead Risk Engineer - Utilities Industry

Are you a skilled Risk Engineer with experience in Gas Transmission & Metering? Our client, an industry-leading organisation in the Utilities sector, is looking for a talented Lead Risk Engineer to join their team on a fixed-term contract.

As the Lead Risk Engineer, your main responsibility will be to manage and develop the project's risk profile and contingency to the appropriate level of detail. You will work closely with the project team to identify available information and any gaps that need to be filled to improve the quality of data for defining risks. In addition, you will be accountable for developing the risk strategy and methodology of the project's scope of works.

On a typical day, you can expect to:

  • Liaise with the project team to establish the project scope.
  • Identify gaps in available information essential for project cost estimation and risk assessment.
  • Challenge and obtain relevant missing information to ensure accuracy.
  • Track progress and manage governance reviews.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to establish the project baseline, including scope, programme, cost estimate, and contingency.
