Rubicon Consultingis currently recruiting for a Desktop Support Engineer on a 6 month Contract, located in Warwickshire.

INSIDE IR35

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolving problems with PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications. Set up and maintain user accounts and permissions.
  • Respond to service tickets and user inquiries promptly.
  • Document support activities and solutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Work closely with IT teams and other departments to ensure seamless operations and support for all technological needs and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Needs SC Clearance
  • Previous experience in a deskside support or helpdesk role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking principles.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
