Engineering Management of Change Analyst
Warwick/Remote hybrid
Duration - 6 months with possibility for extension
- The Engineering Management of Change (MOC) G/35 Coordinator is responsible for the administration and management of the MOC process within the Cyber Program, ensuring all proposed changes are reviewed, approved, and implemented effectively.
- They shall ensure that all Project changes (engineering, Operational and Cyber IT/OT) are evaluated, documented, and implemented in compliance with regulatory, safety, and company standards.
- The MOC Coordinator will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all MOC submissions, activities, approvals, and associated documentation.
- They will look to develop planning tools and strategies, to ensure robust implementation and adherence to the G/35 process, as well as monitoring and tracking the progress of change requests, ensuring timely execution and closure of MOC activities across the program.
- They will coordinate with relevant departments, Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure that the full MOC life cycle is adhered to, and that proper documentation and implementation of changes are captured and implemented into BAU activities.
- The MOC Coordinator is responsible for managing, leading, controlling, and supporting the project teams toward a successful project outcome (one that achieves the stated benefits for the project) within the appropriate time, cost and quality criteria.
- Perform the role of Initiator as defined within T/PM/G/35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining documentation as required to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements
- Work collaboratively with Project teams, Operations, IT and Security to deliver all relevant NCSC CAF objectives within the Cyber Program.
- Ensure each project team understands and plans for the resources needed to deliver the agreed service transition activities
- Partner with the Programme Management Team to develop and enhance the monitoring and management of the MOC process within the Cyber Program
- Provide effective leadership to the project teams, ensuring that team members are supported, motivated
- Ensure all stakeholders including business management, users, staff, Operations, Engineering Depts, IT, and Security clearly understand project objectives and scope of the project and are clear in their expectations of the project
- Continuously monitor project wide progress, applying timely interventions and management strategies to address deviations from agreed tolerances and processes, whilst maintaining compliance with governance and MOC requirements
- Oversee effective change control procedures, ensuring formal documentation and approval for any modifications to the approved scope
- Manage the production of required deliverables for project MOC activities, ensuring robust review processes are in place and obtained necessary approvals
- Maintain project, stage, exception, and MOC design packs whilst tracking activities against plans.
- Provide accurate and regular updates to the Programme Board as required
- Manage the Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Decisions (RAID) as aligned to their job role, including developing effective mitigation where required and share with the program Management Team.
- Ensure that projects are formally closed within the G/35 system, capturing and archiving relevant documentation to support operational acceptance and project completion
- Manage any oversee smooth transitions and handovers to Business as Usual (BAU) activities as aligned within the scope and objectives of the projects.
Key skills and experience:
- A good knowledge of Management of Change Processes
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and processes (ISO 9001)
- A broad knowledge of Engineering and/or Operational Technology in a similar industry
- A good knowledge of Cyber Programs, the Business, Operations, Engineering and IT drivers for the project
- Has proven leadership, stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills
- A good track record of delivering complex projects
- Understands Policies, Procedures, and management structure or are familiar with similar large engineering organisations.
