About this position:
We are currently offering an excellent opportunity for a Vehicle Build Technician to join a renowned design and engineering consultancy that provides premium services. The company is distinguished for its expertise in creating bespoke products across various sectors, including automotive. You will be responsible for whole vehicle preparation, assembly and build mainly covering Trim and Final Assembly.
Job Responsibilities:
- Mechanical and Electrical assembly and build tasks including component assembly & sub-assemblies - building parts and components from scratch
- Building whole vehicles from scratch working within a bay-build discipline
- Profiling, panel alignment and gapping
- Fitting part/full interior Trim packages
- Diagnosis and support logging of build issues and engineering improvements
- Reading and interpreting engineer drawing
- Experience of using a variety of handheld tools
Experience Required:
- 5 years'hands-on experience of whole vehicles
- Fabrication / welding experience is desirable
- Good engineering background essential
- Candidates with motorsport background would thrive in this environment
- Experience of previous vehicle assembly/build work is essential
- Ability to develop good technical solutions to build/ quality issues
