The Head of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the design, developmentand implementation of projects.
The company specialise in delivering renewable energy water solutions for both commercial and domestic customers.
The role will be based in the Washington / North East Offices, with opportunity for flexible and hybrid working. Travel will be required on a regular basis to other operating locations across the UK
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management of a team that is growing and spread across the UK
- Project oversight including compliance management/adherence
- Innovation and staying abreast of modern technological advancements related to net zero and decarbonisation in the water industry
- Quality assurance
- Collaboration, linked to a geographically diverse and the Head of Engineering will have experience of successfully integrating teams
- Budget management from small to large scale/scope projects
- Technical expertise
- Stakeholder engagement, internal/external/sub con management
Key Experience and Tasks
- Engineering team management and development
- Peer review of RIBA stage 1-5 design process
- Production of feasibility studies looking at a range of renewable energy technologies and application
- Supporting business development in work winning activities
- Ownership of BIM Policy
- Management and production of M&E designs utilising CAD and Revit
- Extensive experience of engineering/energy analysis, design of hydraulic and/or renewable heating systems heat pump systems -GSHP, ASHP,Solar PV/Battery storage, CHP/grid parallel connections etc.
- Experience modelling energy consumption and carbon emission.
- Experience working on commercial and domestic building system design.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Either - degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a technical related field.
- Apprenticeship/HND + significant exp in the industry with a track record of delivering similar projects
