Industry: Construction New Build Industrial Project
Duration: 12 to 18 months (Freelance, potential to become permanent)
We Are Footprint are recruiting for an experienced Construction Logistics Manager to work on a new build industrial project near Sunderland for one of our key clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a background in logistics management within the construction industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery and coordination of all logistics operations on site.
- Manage site traffic and ensure the smooth and safe movement of materials and personnel.
- Ensure that the project site is properly organized and all resources are efficiently distributed.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of deliveries, stock levels, and movement of materials.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Troubleshoot any logistics-related issues as they arise.
Key Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card is essential.
- Either SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) required.
- Ideally, hold a First Aid qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar logistics management role on large construction sites, ideally within the industrial or commercial sectors.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and site management.
