MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
WASHINGTON, TYNE & WEAR
PERMANENT
2 SHIFT PATTERN (DOUBLE DAYS)
6am 2.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 11am Friday
2.30pm - 11pm Monday to Thursday and 6am to 4pm Friday
SALARY - £43,427 inclusive of shift allowance
Zenith People are working with our client who are looking to recruit a time-served Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis.
The main purpose of the role is to proactively maintain and improve production equipment at their Washington site.
Main duties of the position:
- Diagnosing and rectifying faults on production equipment
- Perform thorough maintenance as scheduled by the CMMS
- Work as part of the Production shift team communicating issues to other Technicians and Engineers
- Complete shift log, detailing all relevant information to ensure continuation and/or review of repair.
- Assisting with the commissioning, development and improvement of production equipment
Skills & Experience Required
- Time served & qualified to a minimum level of BTEC ONC
- Be willing to undergo training as identified through Engineers/Team Leaders.
- Help to develop and improve PPM’s
- At least two years recent post apprenticeship experience
- Candidates should have experience in a similar role including a good knowledge of Electro - Pneumatic machinery which is PLC controlled
- Experience in FMCG.
- Injection Moulding/Cathode experience preferred
- Capable of machining to <0.1mm tolerances on lathe/milling m/c - preferred
- Multi skilled with a Mechanical or Machining bias would be desirable
- Good diagnostic/problem solving and communication skills
- The ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team and assist in prioritization where applicable.
- Ability to perform when under pressure.
- Molding experience would be desirable.
- Some overtime working is expected
