Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Part TimeGovernance and Compliance Administrator, working for a client based in Washington, Tyne and Wear on a Maternity Cover Contract. To provide Administrative Support to the Governance and Compliance Department in an accurate and timely manner. To support the department by exhibiting a team focused work ethic, as you will be expected to work closely with colleagues to promote effective governance practices and procedural compliance.

Governance and Compliance Administrator Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To undertake administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, manuals, audit results, filing systems, archives and updating information.
  • Produce correspondence and reports from written documents.
  • Arrange meetings, book conference rooms and produce minutes and distribute accurate records of meetings.
  • Liaise with staff, customers and other agencies to assist with compliance activities such as data protection, supplier due diligence process, insurance renewal.
  • Conduct administrative audits - manuals, visual displays, documentation, desktop audits, CCTV.
  • General administrative support to colleagues and staff as and when required - compliance education records, business continuity plan, environmental reporting, raising of purchase requests.
  • Work on specific projects or assist in other areas of the department as required.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the nature of the post as an administrator.

Governance and Compliance Administrator Applicants:

  • Full driving license.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to use initiative to think through problems to find solutions.
  • Ability to check for accuracy and given attention to detail.
  • Good planning and organising skills.
  • Flexible and able to contribute to a team approach.
  • Ability to work with detailed accuracy and speed.
  • Able to multi-task as priorities change.
  • You must have a positive 'can-do' approach to work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must be confident to be able to deal with internal / external customers and liaise with different departments.
  • Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Hourly rate is £12.21. Working 24 hours per week: Tues 8.30am - 4.40pm, Wed 8.10am - 4.20pm & Thurs 8.10am - 4.20pm. This role is to start the beginning of May.
