Injection Moulding Technician - Double Days - Overtime opportunities available all at x1.5

Location: Commutable from Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham, Waterlooville, Petersfield, Chichester, Southampton, Cosham, Winchester, Gosport, Emsworth

Salary: Depending on experience

Want to work across diverse products that serve a variety of markets including the healthcare and aerospace sector? Setting machines from 22 ton up to 280 tonnes, working across older and new machines and fundamentally learning more as a professional setter?

Joining a team of 3 on shift together with a tool hanger, this team work great together ensuring the timely changing of tools in line with the production plans which are set 2 weeks in advance. The manager is dynamic, passionate, and very focussed on having a great work life balance in his team, yet crucially having a whole team dedicated and driven to get the work done well for the customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely load and unload injection mould tools, ensuring all work is conducted in line with established procedures.
  • Set up production tooling and ancillary equipment according to master settings.
  • Troubleshoot process issues to address and resolve in-process problems affecting quality and cost.
  • Liaise with Quality inspectors and operators to ensure smooth handovers.
  • Maintain records to confirm production is in control and operating within agreed parameters.
  • Assist with process improvements to achieve better cost, quality, and performance.
  • Plan ahead for upcoming production jobs to ensure efficiency.

  • Knowledge of materials processing and processing temperatures
