AJ Chambers are thrilled to be working with a progressive and tech-savvy accountancy practice, currently seeking a Trainee Service Charge Accountant to join their friendly and forward-thinking team in Watford.

About the Role

As a Trainee Service Charge Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the preparation of accounts and reports while gaining hands-on experience and studying for your AAT qualification. Joining the Service Charge Accounts team, you’ll be working in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare service charge accounts and reports under the supervision of experienced team members.
  • Attend job-specific training courses and develop technical knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Manage your workload effectively, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain the high standards expected within the team.
  • Contribute to an innovative and inclusive workplace, in line with the company’s values.

Successful Candidate

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be approachable, detail-oriented, and confident in interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to self-manage tasks effectively.
  • Be eager to learn and apply new technical knowledge and software.
  • Demonstrate an analytical mindset and the drive to deliver high-quality results.
  • Prior experience in Service Charge Accounts is not essential, as training and development opportunities will be provided.
